Vents d’hiver

Winds of winter

The photographs that make up these series were taken along the coast from the Quiberon Peninsula to Kerhillio Beach (Morbihan) with a digital camera.

Through intentional movement of the camera at the moment of capture, paired with the natural motion of the sea, the images reveal an interplay of contrasts, lines, shapes and a delicate tension between points of light. The sense of movement that permeates many of the exhibited works emerges from the photographer’s prolonged interaction with the subject (element). Time itself becomes a medium, translating motion into a painterly gesture—akin to a brushstroke across canvas. The seascape that remains is abstract – still shimmering.

In this quiet dialogue between movement and stillness, the photographs invite the viewer to linger — to see light not as a fixed presence, but as a fleeting trace of time and perception: an imprint of memory.
